Dr. Sankaran Nambiar, a local doctor from Perumbavoor and an expert in elephant treatment, has successfully treated and saved numerous elephants. Notably, he played a crucial role in the recovery of the ailing elephant, Balakrishnan, who was on the verge of death. Given Dr. Nambiar's well-recognised expertise in elephant medicine, it is imperative that the government encourages his efforts, and establishes rules to promote good practices in indigenous medicine.
