Alleged Sedition.
The following telegram of to-day was received from Madras this noon.
The offices of the Swadeshamitran, a Tamil Daily, published and edited by Mr. G. Subramony Iyer, and India, a Tamil weekly, conducted by Mr. Sreenivasachari, were searched yesterday by Police on warrants issued by the Presidency Magistrate for alleged seditious articles published in them. Warrants have been issued for the arrest of Messrs. Subramony Iyer and Sreenivasachari.
