കോട്ടയം ജില്ലാക്കോടതിയില്‍ ഒരു അഡിഷനല്‍ ജഡ്ജിയെ നിയമിപ്പാന്‍ ആലോചനയുണ്ട്.
ആലപ്പുഴ മുതലായ സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലെക്കു സര്‍ക്കീട്ടു പോയിരുന്ന എക്സൈസ് കമിഷണര്‍ മിസ്തര്‍ എന്‍. രാമന്‍ പിള്ള മടങ്ങി എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
ബാംബയില്‍ ബാക്‍ടീറിയാളജി പരിശീലനത്തിനായി പോയിരുന്ന ഡാക്‍ടര്‍ കേ. രാമന്‍തമ്പി ഇന്ന് ഇവിടെ വന്നുചേര്‍ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
ലാകാളേജില്‍ ഒരു ലെക്‍ചററെ കൂടുതലായി നിയമിപ്പാന്‍ പോകുന്നു എന്നു "സ്റ്റാറി" ല്‍ കണ്ടതായ വര്‍ത്തമാനം പരമാര്‍ത്ഥമല്ലെന്ന് അറിയുന്നു.
വനശാസ്ത്രാഭ്യാസത്തിനായി ജെര്‍മനിയിലെക്ക് രണ്ടു പേരെ ഗവര്‍ന്മേണ്ട് സ്കാളര്‍ഷിപ്പ് കൊടുത്തു അയപ്പാന്‍ നിശ്ചയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതായി അറിയുന്നു.
മഹാമഹിമശ്രീ കേരളവര്‍മ്മ വലിയകോയിത്തമ്പുരാന്‍ സി. എസ്. ഐ. തിരുമനസ്സുകൊണ്ട് കന്നിമാസം 10നു-യൊടു കൂടി പരിവാരസമേതം വൈക്കത്തെക്കു എഴുന്നള്ളുന്നതാണ്. ഇരുപതാം തിയതിയിടയ്ക്കു തിരിച്ചെത്തും.
1086-ലെ സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ പഞ്ചാംഗം ഇതിനിടെ പ്രസിദ്ധപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. അതില്‍ ചേര്‍ക്കുവാന്‍ വെച്ചിരുന്ന വടശ്ശേരി അമ്മവീട്ടു !കല്യാണവര്‍ണ്ണന പദ്യങ്ങളെ വിട്ടുകളകയും, പ്രത്യേകം പുസ്തകമായി പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിപ്പാന്‍ വേണ്ട വ്യവസ്ഥകള്‍ ചെയ്കയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
മണക്കാട്ടു ശിങ്കാരത്തോപ്പിനു സമീപം ഈയിട ചില രാത്രികളില്‍ ചിലര്‍ കൂടി വീട്ടിനു കല്ലെറിയുകയും മററും ചെയ്തുവരുന്നു. ഇത്തരം അക്രമികളെ കണ്ടുപിടിച്ച് സമാധാന രക്ഷ ചെയ്യേണ്ടവരായ ബീററു കാണ്‍സ്റ്റബിള്‍മാരെ പ്രസ്തുത സ്ഥലങ്ങളില്‍ കാണ്മാന്‍പോലുമില്ലാ. പൊലീസ് ഇന്‍സ്പെക്ടരുടെ ദൃഷ്ടി ഈ വിഷയത്തില്‍ പതിയേണ്ടകാലം അതിക്രമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. Some people have been pelting stones at houses near Manakattu Shinkarathop since the last few nights. Police constables on beat, who are supposed to track down such criminals and maintain peace, are not even seen at said places. It is high time that the police inspector look into this matter.
